Aston Villa came from two goals down to grab a 2-2 draw in their pre-season friendly with Colchester United.
Scott Vernon put the League One side ahead and Andy Vincent doubled the lead 12 minutes after the break.
Steve Sidwell rifled home from eight yards out (64) as Villa pulled a goal back, and forward Adam McGurk scored the equaliser (72).
Villa now take part in the Peace Cup in Spain - their first game against Malaga on Saturday, 25th July (2130 BST).
