Aston Villa will host Fiorentina at Villa Park in a pre-season friendly on Saturday, 8 August.
The Italians are managed by Cesare Prandelli and have former Chelsea striker Adrian Mutu in their squad.
Villa manager Martin O'Neill said: "To follow up our Peace Cup participation with a home game against real quality European opposition is fantastic.
"If it's half as good as the match against Inter Milan here two seasons ago, it will be terrific."
