Aldershot defender Chris Blackburn says his side's hopes of making the League Two play-offs are in their own hands.
He told BBC Surrey: "If we kick on [after beating Northampton last week] we've got an opportunity.
"But if we sit back on our laurels and let the season fade away like last year then we get what we deserve.
"If we've got any aspirations to automatic promotion or to make the play-offs we've really got to be taking points off everybody now," he added.
The Shots had slipped well off the pace after picking up one point in three games before the victory over Northampton.

Blackburn also said he was impressed with new goalkeeper Stephen Henderson, who has signed on loan from Bristol City.
"He's bedding in, the lads have taken to him and I think he's enjoying it," he said.
"He played fantastic the other night and made a save down to his left which was world class."
