Aldershot captain Anthony Charles says no need to panic
Charles says the club are united in pushing for a play-off place
Aldershot captain Anthony Charles says that there is no need to panic about the club's three-game winless streak.
The Shots have taken just one point from a possible nine to slip from sixth to 11th in the League Two table, five points outside the play-offs.
He told BBC Surrey: "If people look at the league table and see where we are, we're in a good position.
"I know if we do lose we drop down a few more places because it's so tight where we are."
The 28-year-old, who took over the captain's armband from the departed Adam Hinshelwood, added: "I think the top three are going to be pulling away soon and I think it's a play-off position that people want to be going for.
"Some people would have said at the beginning of the season that a mid-table position would have been good, others may have said just avoiding relegation.
"We as players and as a club want to be pushing for the play-offs.
"I know we've had a couple of bad results, performances have been so-so for part of the game, maybe one half here and there which isn't enough.
"But it's a good period to go in to. We just need to be focused and everyone needs to be gearing themselves up."
