Coleraine's Sammy Morrow linked with Tranmere move

Coleraine have yet to receive an offer from Tranmere for striker Sammy Morrow.

Morrow, left out of the Bannsiders squad for the game against Crusaders, is believed to be having a medical at Prenton Park later this week.

Former Northern Ireland Under-21 international Morrow impressed Rovers boss Les Parry during a pre-season tournament in Scotland.

However, Bannsiders chairman Hugh Wade said that the League One club have not contacted Coleraine with an offer.

"Sammy is at Tranmere on trial and that's all we have heard so far," said Wade.

If the striker does leave, it would be a further setback for manager David Platt who has lost the services of last season's player of the year and the league's top goalscorer, Rory Patterson.
