Coleraine have confirmed that striker Sammy Morrow is the target of an English club.

Showgrounds manager David Platt would not reveal the name of the club chasing the former Derry City and Hibs player.

"We are aware of interest in him but we have not received any enquiries through recognised channels," said Platt.

The 25-year-old was banned for three months in March after being found to have made bets on a number of games in which he played.

The matches are understood to have included a number of Derry City games while he was on duty at the Brandywell.

Morrow had three years at Ipswich Town after signing for the club in 2001 and he has also had spells at Boston United, Livingston and Partick Thistle.
