Oliver Norwood lobbed a sixth-miute opener at Ballymoney and further goals followed from Joshua King, Evandro Brandao (2) and Jack Dean.
United now meet Watford for whom Matty Whichelow scored a hat-trick in the 4-0 win over Drogheda United.
In the Juniors, County Down are through to a semi-final meeting with Everton.
Michael McLellan scored his third of the tournament to help take Paul Ritchie's side to a 2-1 win.
McLellan, who plays for Linfield's juniors, said: "Everton are a good team but we will be giving it our best shot.
"I have managed to score in every game and will be looking to keep that record up."
