Portuguese club Boavista will make their debut at the Milk Cup this summer, following in the footsteps of Benfica, Sporting Lisbon and Porto.

They will take part in the Premier tournament, alongside the likes of past champions Manchester United and holders FC Fluminese.

The club has intensified their work at youth level as they look to nurture new talent rather than spend on big names.

The draw for the Milk Cup will take place in Belfast on Tuesday 13 May.
