Grant salutes quality of Milk Cup

Avram Grant made the draw for the Milk Cup tournament

Chelsea manager Avram Grant heaped rich praise on the Milk Cup when he made the draw for the 2008 youth tournament in Belfast on Tuesday.

"I honestly was not aware that it was such a huge event," said Grant.

"When you see the calibre of the clubs taking part, it is obvious why the Milk Cup has become one of the best youth tournaments anywhere in the world."

"It is important for Chelsea to be involved and you should be extremely proud of hosting such a prestigious."

Tournament officials revealed that La Liga club Sevilla and Argentina's leading youth academy Club Jorge Griffa have completed the line-up for the Premier section.

Joining defending champions Israel in the Elite tournament are debutants Belgium, plus Chile, USA, Wales and Northern Ireland.
