Marty Quinn was disappointed with his team's display on Saturday
Coleraine boss Marty Quinn was delighted with Stephen Dooley's impact in the 1-1 draw with Donegal Celtic in the JJB Sports Irish Cup semi-final.
The 16-year-old substitute scored an 84th minute equaliser for Coleraine in only his third senior appearance.
"It was a fantastic goal - I was tempted to start him but I went for experience," said Quinn.
"I told him he'll never forget scoring his first goal in senior football in such a crucial game for Coleraine."
He added: "Overall I thought we didn't play today and there was a lot of nervousness in the camp.
"I hope to have that out of their system before Tuesday night's replay."
Donegal Celtic manager Paddy Kelly was not surprised that his team's opener would be cancelled out.
"We started off really well. We contained Coleraine quite well in the first half when they had a very strong breeze on their backs," he said.
"When we got the goal I thought 'hopefully, here we go', but credit to Coleraine, they bounced back and for 15 minutes they put us under a lot of pressure.
"I could see the goal coming and the wee lad (Dooley) finished really well."
