Stephen Dooley celebrates after equalising for the Bannsiders

Coleraine substitute Stephen Dooley struck with six minutes left to send this JJB Sports Irish Cup semi-final to a replay in Ballymena on Tuesday night.

Donegal Celtic striker Paul McVeigh wasted the best first-half chance at the Ballymena Showgrounds when he dragged wide after going clear on goal.

Michael McClean got the final touch on Liam Bradley's free-kick to put DC ahead on 63 minutes.

But 16-year-old Dooley volleyed in after Davy Patton hit the crossbar.

The Bannsiders enjoyed the wind advantage in a poor first half and Tommy McCallion fired over with the first opening after three minutes.

McVeigh's opportunity came five minutes later when he pounced on a poor back-pass but failed to find the target.

Coleraine striker Jody Tolan blasted his volley straight at keeper Declan Brown on 30 minutes and within seconds Stephen McAlorum had a shot blocked at the other end.

Liam Bradley showed the potential of his wind-assisted free-kicks when Davy O'Hare was forced to tip over in the 54th minute.

His next free-kick arrowed in on goal and Bradley got the faintest of touches to send the ball past a motionless O'Hare.

Kyle McVey missed from close-range on 82 minutes as Coleraine pressed for the leveller, which was to come courtesy of two substitutes.

Patton turned and shot off the bar with Dooley smashing the rebound through a crowd of players and into the net to register his first goal for the club.
