Glentoran 1-2 Donegal Celtic
Rory Hamill scored both goals for Donegal Celtic
On-loan Rory Hamill scored both DC goals at the Oval
Rory Hamill scored both goals as Donegal Celtic pulled off a shock win over Glentoran, the club which let him go on loan.

Hamill punished slackness by Glentoran keeper Michael Dougherty, charging down the attempted clearance to score after just seven minutes.

Gary Hamilton equalised direct from a 12th-minute free-kick.

But Hamill sank his own club by scoring DC's winner on 23 minutes after another blunder by Dougherty.

The home keeper allowed a long clearance to bounce over his head and Hamill nipped in to score from a tight angle.

Now questions are bound to be asked about why Glentoran allowed their own man Hamill to play against them.

The two clubs had an agreement that Hamill would not play for DC in the league fixtures at the Oval on 1 February, a match which Glentoran won 5-1.

But there was no such arrangement for any cup meeting between the sides.
