Wimbledon 2-2 C Palace

Wimbledon staged a stunning comeback to snatch a draw with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park to leave Eagles fans calling for the head of manager Trevor Francis.

Palace were well in control after goals from Julian Gray and Andy Johnson gave them a 2-0 lead in the south London derby.

But two goals in two minutes from captain Neil Shipperley and substitute Patrick Agyemang grabbed a share of the points for the Dons.

The Eagles have now drawn eight of 13 league games, including their last five on the trot - and Palace fans booed under-pressure manager Francis in the final moments.

It was Wimbledon's biggest gate of the season - with 6,538 coming through the turnstiles - and 1,313 of them were apparently Dons fans.

Gray put the Eagles ahead after 15 minutes with a shot on the turn after Dele Adebola had dummied a right-wing cross from teenage prodigy Wayne Routledge.

Johnson struck a second goal for Palace after 69 minutes, but Palace were made to regret their missed chances when the Dons launched their fightback.

Former Eagle Shipperley latched on to a through ball from Connolly in the 77th minute to fire home between the legs of Nik Michopoulos for his sixth league goal of the season.

Substitute Agyemang drew them level to the delight of the home fans a minute later after Hayden Mullins played a weak back pass straight to him.

Wimbledon: Davis, Holloway, Gier, Leigertwood, Hawkins, McAnuff, Francis, Darlington, Tapp, Shipperley, Connolly. Subs: Agyemang, Andersen, Heald, Nowland, Reo-Coker.

Crystal Palace: Michopoulos, Butterfield, Popovic, Mullins, Granville, Routledge, Riihilahti, Derry, Gray, Johnson, Adebola. Subs: Freedman, Kolinko, Black, Rubins, Antwi.

Referee: M Pike (Cumbria)
