Chris Hall spent two and a half seasons with Gainsborough Trinity
Boston United have made their first new summer signing, by bringing in Chris Hall from Alfreton Town.
The midfielder, 28, who made 11 appearances for the Blue Square Bet North champions, has also played for Gainsborough Trinity and Burton Albion.
Boston joint-manager Lee Canoville told BBC Lincolnshire: "He's a very good player with good energy levels.
"He's been part of a championship-winning side and I think he'll fit in nicely with what we're trying to do."
Canoville, who played alongside Hall at Gainsborough, added that he and co-manager Jason Lee are prepared to play a waiting game as they look to add to their squad.
"We're speaking to a lot of players," he said. "We're not making any rash decisions but a couple more may come in in the next couple of weeks.
"We've got to make sure they're the right players.
"If we have to wait a little longer then we will do, but Chris is the first of a few who will be coming in in the next month or so.
"We're delighted that Chris is our first signing as we feel the fans will see the kind of players we're looking to bring in."
