Bracebridge Heath stretch Premier League lead with win

Bracebridge Heath extended their lead in the Lincolnshire Premier League with a 77-run win at Louth.

After being reduced to 51-5 Bracebridge rallied to 229 with half-centuries for James Wright and Brett Houston, while Nuwan Shiroman made 62 in Louth's 152.

Market Deeping stay second despite a losing draw at home to Hartsholme, who made 259-9 with Kit Spence top-scoring with 94 while Tom Andrews took 6-69.

Deeping were then held to 198-7 despite 103 not out from opener Chris Jones.

That allowed third-placed Grimsby to close the gap on Market Deeping with a 27-run victory at Bourne.

Jim Morgan made 72 and Neal Snell also struck a half-century in the visitors' 227 before George Linde took 5-52 to dismiss Bourne for 200, Conrad Louth making 83 for the defending champions.

Morgan and Linde now top the League's batting and bowling tables.

Morgan has made 420 runs, while Linde has 27 wickets to his name.

Boston beat Skegness by 17 runs at the Mayflower, while Sleaford dismissed Lindum for only 114 before going on to win by four wickets at London Road.

They move off the foot of the table at the expense of Nettleham, who lost at Woodhall Spa by four wickets.

Nettleham skipper David Manby and Woodhall's Sam Evison both made half-centuries.

Abbey Lawn: Grimsby 227-9 (Morgan 72, Snell 51) beat Bourne 200 (Louth 83, Linde 5-52) by 27 runs.

The Mayflower Ground: Boston 218 beat Skegness 201 by 17 runs.

London Road: Sleaford 115-6 beat Lindum 114 by four wickets.

Jubilee Park: Woodhall Spa 155-6 (Evison 80) beat Nettleham 154 (Manby 50).
