Trio exit Chelmsford City as six stay

Chelmsford City

Chelmsford City have released defender Sami El-Abd and midfielders Takumi Ake and John Martin as they begin to re-shape their squad for next season.

Six others have been retained for another Clarets campaign in the Blue Square Bet South.

Defenders Mark Haines, Ben Nunn and Adam Tann are among those to have agreed terms for the 2011/12 season.

Forwards Anthony Cook, Rob Edmans and Ricky Modeste are also staying at Melbourne Park.

The Clarets missed out on promotion from the Blue Square Bet South in the play-offs.

They lost their semi-final to Ebbsfleet 6-2 on aggregate.
