King's Lynn Town
King's Lynn are through to the semi finals of the FA Vase

It certainly was not the best performance from King's Lynn Town this season but the main thing is they are through to the semi-finals of the FA Vase.

Rye United proved to be a tough nut to crack, even though they ended the game with nine men after two were sent-off.

Robbie Harris stepped off the bench to slot a couple of extra-time goals for the under-par Linnets and they will now face Coalville Town from Leicester over two legs.

The away leg is on Saturday, 26 March and the return leg at The Walks on Saturday, 2 April.

Wembley is just around the corner but I'm sure everyone who saw the win over Rye will agree there needs to be an improvement if they are to make that dream appearance.

It also turned out to be a good weekend for former Vase finalists Lowestoft Town in the Ryman Premier.

The Blues dug out a single-goal victory at lowly Maidstone United, Jamie Forshaw getting the all important goal.

Leaders Sutton United lost and promotion rivals Bury Town and Tonbridge Angels both drew.

The Trawler Boys are third and nicely placed in the play-off zone, while being 11 points behind Sutton but with three games in hand.

Dereham Town have seemingly turned the corner. The Magpies had gone five games without a win before last weeks victory over Wroxham but they followed that up with another three points on Saturday, beating Haverhill Rovers at Aldiss Park.

It keeps them in second place in the Ridgeons Premier.

Norwich United have won their last five to move up to sixth but there were defeats for Wroxham, Great Yarmouth Town and Kirkley & Pakefield.

In Division One, Gorleston and Diss Town remain second and third respectively after weekend wins, while Thetford Town stretched their unbeaten run to nine games after an impressive 5-2 win at Ipswich Wanderers.
