Crisis, what crisis?

On Saturday's showing it is hard to believe Lowestoft Town had taken just one point from the previous three games and had not won in their last six.

Doubts and questions were being raised as to their ability to keep pace at the top end of the Ryman Premier.

The answer? An emphatic 8-1 drubbing of Hendon.

The Londoners arrived at Crown Meadow having beaten league leaders Sutton United during the week and although they had some decent chances during the game they were swamped, with Matt Nolan grabbing a brace.

The win takes Lowestoft up to fourth place in the table and puts them in good spirits for a tough trip to Bury on Tuesday.

Elsewhere King's Lynn Town won their third cup match on the bounce. Having already progressed to the quarter finals of the FA Vase and final of the Norfolk Senior Cup, the Linnets progressed in the United Counties League Cup by beating Irchester United 4-1 at The Walks.

Norfolk's form team in the Ridgeons Premier Division is Norwich United.

The Planters beat CRC 1-0 on Saturday to make it four wins from four, a run that sees them move up to sixth in the table.

Wroxham are second after a 2-1 win over Newmarket Town, while Dereham Town are third having been held to a 1-1 draw at Walsham-le-Willows.

But it has not been a good week for promotion hopefuls Diss Town in Division One.

The Tangerines lost 4-0 at Gorleston last Tuesday and followed that up with a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Whitton United, who are now second in the table.

In the Anglian Combination Premier, leaders Cromer Town remain on course for the title even though they didn't play at the weekend.

Their game against local rivals Sheringham was abandoned at the mid-way point due to the state of the pitch, but other results fell reasonably well for them and they have an eight point advantage.
