King's Lynn FC
King's Lynn have managed two wins on the trot over St Neots

King's Lynn 2, St Neots Town 0. No, that wasn't the result at the weekend, but it does reflect the fact Lynn have beaten their rivals on successive Saturdays.

Last week it was a win in the UCL Premier, this week a 2-1 victory took The Linnets into the quarter finals of the FA Vase and a home tie against Rye United on Saturday, 5 March.

In front of a 1,600-strong crowd skipper Jack Defty and substitute Robbie Harris got the all important goals, meaning the pair have notched 53 between them.

Significantly, Harris has now scored in every round of the competition.

It would seem Lowestoft Town are lacking the 'rub of the green' at the moment in the Ryman Premier Division.

The Blues suffered a 2-1 defeat at leaders Sutton United on Saturday and that followed a similar scoreline at Tooting and Mitcham last week.

In both games though they had a goal disallowed which denied them a share of the spoils.

It will be a concern that they haven't won in the last five league games, but with the quality they have in the squad you feel it's only a matter of time before luck changes and they can push on for a play-off place.

Dereham Town perhaps suffered for their cup heroics after falling to a 2-0 defeat at Hadleigh in the Ridgeons Premier.

It would seem The Magpies were running on empty after their exertions in beating Norwich City in the Norfolk Senior just a few days previous.

Also in the Premier, Wroxham were grateful for a late flurry of goals to beat Histon Reserves 4-1 while Norwich United thumped Brantham Athletic 5-1, the team that in previous weeks had beaten both Dereham Town and Wroxham.

Plenty of goals in the two local derbies in Ridgeons Division One.

Gorleston moved up to third in the table with a 6-1 win at Downham Town while Swaffham Town beat Fakenham Town 4-1.

Cromer Town strengthened their standing at the top of the Anglian Combination Premier Division.

The Crabs beat Norwich St Johns 3-0 and now have a nine point advantage. Wroxham Reserves have moved up to second place.
