Sam Stockley set to leave AFC Telford to join Droylsden
Stockley left Ferencvaros last year
AFC Telford United defender Sam Stockley is set to join Blue Square Bet North rivals Droylsden.
Bucks boss Andy Sinton told BBC Radio Shropshire the Manchester-based side have put in a seven-day notice for him.
"Quite disappointingly he's decided due to travelling and work commitments to play for Droylsden," he said.
"We thought we had a utility player with real experience, we waited for seven weeks for him. It's frustrating to say the least."
The former Port Vale captain had been training with Telford but recently spent a week in the United States to try out for a club ready for the summer.
The timing of Stockley's departure has been worsened by the news that defenders Stuart Whitehead and Liam Murray are both carrying injuries and are rated doubtful for this weekend's trip to Boston United.
