Daish saw his side's unbeaten away record end at Braintree

Ebbsfleet United face having to register some of their youth players for the first team as they battle the effects of their small squad.

Fleet could not name a full substitute's bench for their 4-2 defeat at Braintree on Monday.

"You can see that the squad is lacking in numbers," manager Liam Daish told BBC Radio Kent.

"If we can't get new players, it'll be a case of registering some 16 or 17-year-olds, so we can fill a bench."

He added: "We can't fill a bench at the moment and we've got a couple of suspensions coming up.

"I'm going to chat with a few people on Wednesday and see what the score is."
