Blackwell praises Boston bosses Rob Scott & Paul Hurst
Scott and co-manager Paul Hurst took charge at Boston in May 2009
Boston United general manager John Blackwell says he rates team bosses Rob Scott and Paul Hurst in the same league as two of their famous predecessors.
The duo have led the Pilgrims to fourth in the Blue Square Bet North after winning promotion last season.
Blackwell told BBC Lincolnshire: "I rate them as highly as Jim Smith and Howard Wilkinson.
"They're very good, they plan absolutely everything and it's been an excellent start to the season."
Smith took his first step into management at Boston at 1969 and led them for three seasons, eventually going on to manage in the top flight with Birmingham, QPR, Newcastle and Derby.
Wilkinson, who like Smith began his managerial career as a player-manager at York Street, won the league title with Leeds United in 1992 before becoming FA technical director and caretaker-manager of the national side in 1999 following Glenn Hoddle's sacking.
