St Blazey's pitch escapes lasting damage from floods
St Blazey's pitch was waterlogged by last week's floods
St Blazey manager Glynn Hooper is confident the club's pitch will not suffer any permanent damage after being flooded last week.
Blaise Park turned into a lake of water after severe flooding in south east Cornwall last Wednesday.
Hooper told BBC Cornwall: "Lots of work has gone on by volunteers in and around the club, and all the water is clear.
"It has actually helped in certain matters because the silt has filled in all of the divots."
He added: "In a really bizarre way the pitch is looking as a good as it has all season, we've just now got to hope for a dry period."
The Green and Blacks had to postpone their match with Elburton Villa last Saturday, but Hooper said the pitch should be ready for their upcoming FA Vase clash with Bemberton Heath Harlequins.
He said: "It is obviously very soft but we are very confident of our FA Vase tie going ahead on Saturday week (4 December)."
St Blazey were in Peninsula Premier League action on Tuesday, winning 2-1 away Penzance to go 12th in the standings.
