Sansara says Andy Sinton reason for his Telford move
Sansara made over 20 appearances for Walsall in League One
AFC Telford United's signing Netan Sansara said manager Andy Sinton was the reason he decided to join the club instead of going on trial with Grimsby.
The 21-year-old left-back joined the bucks on Wednesday after being released by Walsall in the summer and having trials with Yeovil, Wycombe and Dundee.
"I still had an offer from Grimsby to go up for another week," he told BBC Radio Shropshire.
"But Andy Sinton showed an interest in me and he's the reason I came here."
Grimsby watched Sansara in training and he was selected to play with the Lincolnshire club in a reserves match.
But the defender opted to join Telford following fellow Walsall youngster Richard Davies and former Walsall coach John Psaras.
"Telford have been chasing me all summer, I've been holding out for a league club. But I can't wait to get started now. I want to kick on and show what I can do," he added.
Sansara has had to wait to sign for the club on non-contract terms after finally gaining clearance from the Scottish Football Association.
He was still contracted with Dundee when the transfer window closed and was left with the prospect of not being able to play until it opened again.
