Lewes boss Ibbitson aware of Dorchester importance

Lewes manager Steve Ibbitson is aware how crucial their match against Dorchester is on Saturday.

The Rooks are currently bottom of Blue Square Bet South, with Dorchester one place and two points above them.

Ibbitson told BBC Sussex: "It takes on a bit more significance than some of the others. It is a big game for us and Dorchester.

"If we can get the points it not only does our tally good but it prevents them getting points on the board."

He added: "It's never nice to be at the bottom. The importance is not to be there after the last game."

Ibbitson knows Lewes need to start improving their performances in order to climb the table.

"We want to stay in this league and we've got to start playing well and get results," he said.

"At this stage of the season the more important thing is we we get a result playing well. We need a little bit more confidence."
