Scott disappointed as Boston United held to 0-0 draw
Joint-manager Rob Scott felt Boston United "came up slightly short" in their 0-0 draw at Vauxhall Motors in Blue Square Bet North.
The Pilgrims dominated at Rivacre park but failed to make a breakthrough.
Scott told BBC Lincolnshire: "We didn't take our chances as ruthlessly as we can, we came up slightly short today.
"But you could look back and say we didn't deserve three points at Alfreton. It's swings and roundabouts but we'll take another clean sheet."
Despite being held to the draw, Boston remain second in the table but are now four points behind Alfreton who they beat 1-0 in their previous league game.
Jason Lee, in his first game since rejoining the Pilgrims, went close in the opening minute and Anthony Church had a headed goal ruled out for offside.
Jamie Yates, Marc Newsham and Spencer Weir-Daley also had good chances with Danny Sleath being denied a late winner by Motormen goalkeeper Scott Tynan.
