Boston United have released defender Liam Parker who had been on non-contract terms with the club.
The full-back, 24, made 68 appearances for the Pilgrims during their two seasons in the Unibond League.
He has not played for Boston in Blue Square Bet North this season because of a persistent back injury.
Joint-manager Rob Scott said: "we cannot afford to pay him while he is out injured but we will reassess the situation when he is fit again."
Scott told the club's website: "We are happy to have him train with us if he wishes.
"Liam is a good lad to have around the place but we simply have not got the money to spend on players who are not available."
Parker's final appearance for Boston was as a substitute in their Unibond League play-off final victory at Bradford Park Avenue in May.
