Lincoln City caretaker boss Scott Lindsey says whoever takes over as manager will inherit a strong team.
The Imps lie 22nd in League Two after losing 1-0 to Southend United, their first game since Chris Sutton resigned.
Lindsey told BBC Lincolnshire: "We've got pace in wide areas, players in the middle who can pass the ball, and centre-halves who will attack.
"We're not that far away, so whoever does come in, it's not a bad job for them to take over."
Lindsey has already announced that he does not wish to be considered for the manager's job.
