Clark leaves role at Lincoln City

Simon Clark
Clark was in charge at Sincil Bank for five games

Lincoln City first-team coach Simon Clark has left the League Two club by mutual consent.

Clark had been appointed caretaker boss at Sincil Bank but ex-Norwich and Celtic striker Chris Sutton was given the full-time post on Monday.

Sutton and his assistant Ian Pearce officially took charge on Wednesday.

Clarke, 42, managed the Imps for five games, after Peter Jackson was sacked at the start of September, but he only won one of those matches.

BBC Radio Lincolnshire understands that Gillingham's Technical Development coach Scott Lindsey will replace Simon Clark.
