Nicky Law urges swift Alfreton Town response

Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law
We created enough chances to have won it. We should have been 3-0 up

Nicky Law on the loss to Boston

Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law has demanded an immediate response to his side's first defeat of the season.

The Reds won their first eight Blue Square Bet North games this season but suffered a 1-0 home defeat against Boston United on Saturday.

Law said: "We will try and put it right in Saturday's FA Cup tie at Stalybridge Celtic and I am looking for a big, positive response and performance.

"The FA Cup is important and we want to progress as far as we can in it."

Law added: "It was disappointing because we created enough chances to have won it. We should have been 3-0 up.

"On the positive side, we are still top of the league and two points clear, but if we had won it we would have opened up a good gap.

"The real positive though was the fact we created several chances against a top-three side."
