Brian Little denies Gainsborough Trinity in crisis
Little blamed his defenders for the loss at Stalybridge
Gainsborough Trinity manager Brian Little says their start to the season has been difficult - but refused to call it a crisis.
Trinity lost 2-0 at Stalybridge Celtic on Saturday, which means they have only won twice in their first seven games.
And Little told BBC Lincolnshire: "You guys can call it a crisis. Fans can call it a crisis."
"But we've lost good players at important times and it has made it difficult for us."
He added: "In every game we've played we've created chances. But what we can't do is stop the opposition scoring.
"It's very similar to what happened last season, so that's a concern to me."
Little described the goals conceded at Stalybridge as "ridiculously poor", adding: "Our big problem at the moment is simple for all to see. The young centre-backs have lost their confidence.
"We needed to put someone out there with some presence to lift players. At the moment we're being sliced open time and again."
Gainsborough have only conceded fewer goals this season than Hyde and Redditch.
