AFC Telford United are monitoring former Hereford defender Karl Broadhurst, who is training with the Bucks during pre-season.
The 30-year-old centre-half, released by Crawley, approached Telford after moving to the West Midlands.
Bucks assistant manager Darren Read told BBC Radio Shropshire: "He is going to train with us and we're very interested in him.
"He has bags of experience and is a very highly rated player."
He added: "Karl is very comfortable on the ball and a commanding figure, a natural leader on the pitch,"
Broadhurst spent nine years with Bournemouth before moving to Hereford United then Crawley Town.
