King's Lynn have the ability to be one of the top performers in the United Counties Premier this season, according to joint-boss Kevin Boon.
The Linnets beat a Norwich City second-string side 2-0 on Tuesday with a performance that impressed Boon.
He told BBC Radio Norfolk: "We've got more to come. In the UCL the games might get tougher and we might get closed down quicker.
"If we can produce what we did against Norwich we'll have a good season."
The friendly win over Norwich was Lynn's first game at The Walks since the club reformed after going out of business due to unpaid debts.
The Linnets displayed the fruits of a summer of rebuilding, with Boon buoyed by the showing of wingers Steve Spriggs and Jamie Thurlbourne.
"That's why we signed these players," he said.
"We knew all about Jamie, he's got a left-foot worthy of the Football League.
"And Spriggsy is an entertainer, but also the boy works very well when we haven't got the ball."
King's Lynn's next pre-season outing is at Spalding United on Saturday.
