Farnborough chairman Simon Hollis plans for Conference

Farnborough

Farnborough chairman Simon Hollis says they are already looking to life in the Blue Square South next season after winning the Southern League.

They clinched the title on Sunday after Nuneaton Town lost 1-0 to Chippenham.

He told BBC Surrey: "You've got to try and plan. You can't rest on your laurels. Our work starts in earnest.

"We've got to get further ground development works done and plan how we're going to approach life in the Conference South."

He added: "It's not a time where we can put our feet up. We'll be cracking on with it but we have already been planning for the last few months really.

"I think in terms of the infrastructure, we've got a huge catchment area.

"As the stadium improves I firmly believe we can sustain a Conference club. Next season's a huge one for us off the pitch.

"We've got a fabulous squad and I'm sure we'll be very competitive in the next league up.

"I know the supporters were very anxious to get Conference football back to Cherrywood Road and now we've delivered that."
