Hodges made over 200 appearances for Plymouth Argyle
Truro City's caretaker manager Lee Hodges has revealed he is keen to stay in the role beyond the end of the current season.
Hodges, who took over following the departure of Steve Thompson last month, has led the side to three wins.
And when asked if he would take on the role permanently after Saturday's 4-1 win over Stourbridge, he said: "Yeah, why not let's have a go.
"Things have gone really well for me, I couldn't be more happier."
Hodges joined Truro on loan from Torquay United in October 2009.
And with his new role at Treyew Road proving successful so far, the former Plymouth Argyle and Reading midfielder wants to keep on impressing over the remainder of the season.
Hodge told BBC Radio Cornwall: "I sat down with the chairman and he said do it until the end of the season and we'll see where we go from there."
He did admit however that being the boss is taking some getting used to.
"One or two players have called me gaffer and I've told them to stop," he said.
"It's Hodgie and its always been Hodgie, and I don't think that'll ever change.
"They know when I'm serious and they know when I'm having a laugh and a giggle. I don't think I'm going to change too much."
