Gill's last game in charge was a 3-1 defeat by Newport
Weymouth manager Jerry Gill has resigned from his position at the Blue Square South strugglers.
The former Birmingham defender had only been in the post for 44 days, but had his resignation accepted by Terras chairman George Rolls.
In a statement, Rolls said: "Since Jerry came to the club, he has had to work with a very limited budget.
"With further budget cuts Jerry couldn't afford to continue travelling from Birmingham three times a week."
The Terras are currently bottom of Blue Square South.
Rolls added: "Jerry has proven to the players and myself that his coaching abilities are first class. We at Weymouth FC wish him all the best for the future."
