Second-half goals from Marc McGregor and Rob Elvins eased makeshift Worcester City's Blue Square South relegation fears with victory at Dover.
City brought striker Mark Owen out of retirement to play, while caretaker manager Carl Heeley came on as a sub.
Heeley had signed in-form full-back Jamie Price from Stourport to play.
"I cannot single people out as everyone who travelled with us was magnificent, caretaker boss Heeley told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"From the players to the kit-man, there was a togetherness in there and we were all magnificent.

"They had a lot of pressure but we defended superbly, and it was a classic away performance.
"We had a centre forward at centre-half, Jamie Price has come in and I would like to thank Stourport's manager Neil Hunt for letting him play.
"We move on to Saturday full of confidence. It is a long way home but it will be a happy journey."
