Worcester City skipper Tom Kemp will play if needed

Worcester City captain Tom Kemp says he is willing to play while injured, but feels it would be better for the team if he missed a few games.

The defender went off with a shoulder injury at half-time as they lost 1-0 at home to Hampton & Richmond on Saturday.

He told BBC Hereford and Worcester: "I'll play with my arm hanging off if needed, but I need to be able to play for 90 minutes.

"If I knew the problem I would not be in this situation now."

He added: "There are a number of problems but I cannot put my finger on it."

Kemp says Worcester have to start battling for points on the road.

"If we are going to do something we have to win away and we have done it couple of times," he said.

"This is a relegation dog fight, and we have to do whatever is necessary to stay up."

Worcester City travel to Dover in Blue Square South on Tuesday, 9 March at 1945 GMT.
