AFC Telford midfielder Steve Thompson has been ruled out for a minimum of three weeks with a hamstring injury.
The 21-year-old former Port Vale man pulled up in United's 2-0 defeat at Northwich Victoria.
"It's a massive blow," Bucks assistant manager Larry Chambers told BBC Radio Shropshire. "He's come into form and is an influential part of the team.
"We're not sure how bad it is yet, but he'll miss a chunk of games. It's a shame, he's been playing really well."
Thompson joined Telford after being released by Vale in October.
"He took a little time to settle, but he's come into his own now," added Chambers.
"He's showing us what a good player he is, and he's also a really decent lad."
