Worcester City transfer list Marco Adaggio and sign duo

Heeley says he has seen enough to make changes to his squad.

Worcester City have transfer listed top scorer Marco Adaggio and have signed midfielders Jack Durrant and Josh Emery from League Two side Cheltenham Town.

Adaggio has scored nine times this season and was also top scorer last term with 15 goals.

Durrant, 19, has arrived at St George's Lane on a one-month loan while Emery, also 19, is at City on work experience.

Meanwhile midfielder Jordan Fitzpatrick and defender Kevin Spencer have been released by the Blue Square South club.

Emery is the son of the former Hereford United player Kevin Emery and played for Worcester earlier in the season.

Adaggio was voted the club's player of the month for January.

Caretaker manager Carl Heeley said he had to make changes with the club 19th in the table, level on points with Lewes who are in the relegation zone.

"I had an idea of what I wanted to do when I came into the job, but I have given everyone an opportunity," he told BBC Hereford & Worcester.

"But we are near the bottom of the table on merit, the league table is not telling me any lies.

"Clearly changes had to be made and I have decided to make them.

"It is not pleasant having to let anyone go," says Heeley. "But I would like to thank those players for their efforts while they have been at the club.

"We will honour Marco's contract and he is still a player at the club.

"I have to do everything to maximise this club's chances of survival and I think this is the first step to helping improve things."

Heeley believes a run of home fixtures should help them climb away from the foot of the table, starting against Woking at the weekend.

"We have four home games on the trot - Saturday, Monday, Saturday, Monday - and that is a crucial period and that will shape the next of the season.

"When you have only won once away from home you have to win your home games.

"Woking are one of the non-league giants, and they have had a dreadful couple of years, but they are in with a chance of getting promoted.

"On our day we can give anyone a game, we are at home and are looking to pick up points from this game."
