Havant & Waterlooville striker Manny Wiliams scored a hat-trick to condemn Worcester City to their 10th away league defeat of the season.
Williams put the Hawks ahead from the penalty spot before the break and then netted his second on 52 minutes.
Mark Clyde volleyed home for City before Williams restored the home side's two-goal lead on 79 minutes.
Alfie Carter's glancing header a minute from time gave City faint hope but the home team held on for the three points.
Worcester City caretaker-manager Carl Heeley told BBC Hereford and Worcester:

"We should have scored five or six goals today and the game should have been dead.
"That was a game in which we should not have been going into the last minute trying to get a point.
"We are not clinical enough in front of goal and we have conceded three sloppy goals while every single goal was a mistake."
