Two St Austell footballers have been banned from playing in the South West Peninsula League until August 2011.
Lee Whetter and Ben Douglas were originally banned by the Cornwall FA for 20 weeks in November 2009 after pleading guilty to assault.
However, at a meeting last Thursday, the SWPL voted to punish the players further and cancel their registrations.
The charges relate to a league game against Newquay on 17 October where the pair were involved in a mass melee.
Both players were sent off during the game, at which point trouble ensued between fans and players in the stand.
SWPL league chairman Mark Hayman said extending the ban was intended to send a zero-tolerance message to all players in the league.
He said: "Such incidents have no place in the South West Peninsula League and this type of appalling conduct will not be accepted."
