New Truro City manager Steve Thompson failed to get his tenure off to a winning start on Friday night as his team were held 2-2 at home by Clevedon.
Truro found themselves a goal down after seven minutes when Tom Billing headed the visitors in front.
The Tigers responded just three minutes later through Andy Watkins, then Marcus Martin fired them ahead on 39 minutes.
But struggling Clevedon equalised through Pete Sheppard just before half-time to claim a share of the spoils.
Truro have climbed a place to 13th in the Southern Premier League table - four points clear of 19th-placed Clevedon.
