Truro City have confirmed manager Sean McCarthy has left the Southern League Premier club by mutual consent.

Chairman Kevin Heaney announced the departure on Monday.

The club took the decision in the wake of Saturday's disappointing trip to Stourbridge which saw them subjected to a 7-2 defeat.

Chris Webb will take over as Truro's caretaker manager and will be in position for Tuesday's game against Evesham United.
