Glenn Pennyfather's Chelmsford currently lie sixth in Blue Square South
Chelmsford City boss Glenn Pennyfather has praised his side's efforts in their FA Trophy win at Truro City on Tuesday.
A fourth minute goal from Dave Rainford sealed a 1-0 win in the first round replay and booked a home tie against Crawley in the second round.
Pennyfather told BBC Essex: "We passed the ball well in the first-half and maybe should have been more than one goal up.
"Second half, fair play to Truro, but my boys dug in and defended very well."
He added: "We'll look forward to the Crawley game but Dorchester (Chelmsford's Blue Square South opponents on Saturday) is first and foremost in my mind.
"Our bread and butter is the league, we want to do well and if we can get out of that this season, fantastic."
