Tom Field's penalty saw Telford to victory over Shrewsbury in July
AFC Telford United midfielder Tom Field has left the club to join Blue Square North rivals Droylsden.
He joined from Vauxhall Motors in the summer and scored the winner in their penalty shootout win over Shrewsbury in the Shropshire Senior Cup in July.
"We talked it through with Tom, but he wanted a guarantee of regular starts," said assistant boss Larry Chambers.
"With the likes of Gavin Hurren, Chris Nurse and Carl Rodgers in the squad, we couldn't give that guarantee."
Field has struggled to cement his place in the Telford team and is the fourth summer signing to leave the New Bucks Head after striker Matt Nolan moved nearer his southern base to play for Lowestoft.
Defender Gareth Jelleyman has returned to Barrow and winger Steve Torpey was sold to Fleetwood.
