AFC Telford United midfielder Tom Field hopes he has turned a corner with the Bucks after staking a claim for a place in the side to face Workington.
Field impressed boss Rob Smith in the Bucks FA Cup replay win against Blyth, after spending most of the season on the bench.
"He's been waiting along time and he hasn't shown us what he can do.
"He's a good player, he's had to be patient and he's done well," Smith told BBC Radio Shropshire.
Field, who joined Telford from Vauxhall Motors during the summer admitted he has been left frustrated but he is determined to take his chance if selected to play against Workington.
"I've just had to bite my lip and hang on in there. I got my chance and hopefully I took it. Only I can lose my place now, the gaffers told me if I play well, I will keep my shirt," Field said.
Telford allowed midfielder Steve Torpey to talk to rivals Fleetwood Town during the week in a move away from the New Bucks head.
The Bucks will also be without new signing Chris Nurse who pulled his hamstring against Blyth, in just his second game for the club. Midfielder Carl Rodgers is the only other injury concern.
