Weaver has had a big turnover of players since the start of the season
Keiran Leabon scored his first goal for Harrogate Town to earn his side a 1-1 draw at Gainsborough.
Mark Hudson gave the home side the lead but Leabon, in his second appearance for the club, pounced after Rory Coleman's shot had been parried.
Town manager Simon Weaver told BBC Radio York: "Rory, when he gets it on his left foot in the last third, is very much a threat.
"Hopefully, Leabon will be a real thorn in the side of the opposition."
Generally, Weaver felt the result was a fair one.
"Both teams could have won it in the end," he added. "There were a few goalmouth scrambles on both sides.
"You've got to be happy to come here and earn a point, they've got some established players at this level and higher.
"We've more than matched them and I was pleased with the display."
The point still leaves Town bottom of Blue Square North, on goal difference from Vauxhall Motors, but two away draws in a row have given Weaver cause for optimism.
"I don't want to get ahead of myself but, hopefully, we're on the up. It's three games now where we've looked more solid as a group," he said.
Weaver has used around 40 players already this season, but is currently only looking to strengthen his attack.
"If not, the lads have proved we can score goals in the last couple of games," he added.
