AFC Telford United manager Rob Smith is to make keeping on-loan Tamworth midfielder Gavin Hurren at the Bucks Head as one of his top priorities.
Smith told BBC Radio Shropshire: "He's a player I've admired for a long time.
"I'd like to keep Gav. If we can come to some sort of arrangement, we can do. That's what I will be looking to do."
After extending his loan spell by a month, having missed the FA Cup games with Worcester, Hurren is in line to return against Southport on Saturday.
The former Mansfield midfielder joined Tamworth on a free transfer in the summer after leaving Crawley.
But, having struggled to break into the Lambs' first team after picking up an injury, he has now made four starts for the Bucks.
And he is in contention to play against Southport as Telford aim to improve on their record of just one home league win this season in six attempts.
Carl Rodgers is the Bucks' only injury concern.
His chances of playing against the Sandgrounders are rated as 50/50 after picking up a toe injury against Worcester.
