AFC Telford United midfielder Gavin Hurren hopes parent club Tamworth will grant him permission to play for the Bucks in the FA Cup.
Hurren is on a one-month loan with Telford from Tamworth, along with Stuart Nicholson.
"Tamworth won't let us play, but I've spoken to Rob Smith and I'm really enjoying myself here," Hurren told BBC Radio Shropshire.
Telford play Pegasus Juniors in the second qualifying round of the FA Cup.
"I'd like to play in it. I think Telford will call Tamworth and see what can be done," Hurren added.
The Bucks were knocked out of the first round proper of the FA Cup last season, losing 2-0 against Southend United in a replay at Roots Hall.
Telford manager Rob Smith has confirmed he will be contacting Tamworth on Wednesday to see if they will reconsider letting both Hurren and Nicholson to play on Saturday.
